LIONS PARK

Public BBQ

Lions Park in Chittaway Bay offers a lakeside haven where families and fitness enthusiasts converge along Tuggerah Lake's well-maintained foreshore. The flat, concrete walking path stretches all the way to The Entrance, inviting leisurely strolls or energetic cycles while drinking in water views that extend across the lake. The park's showpiece is its newly built pirate-themed playground, complete with equipment that captivates toddlers and older children alike. The fenced play areas provide peace of mind, though visitors should note the lack of shade makes hats essential on sunny days. Adjacent picnic spots and BBQ facilities cater to extended family gatherings, with ample room for kids on scooters and balance bikes. This volunteer-funded space maintains an impressively tidy standard, from the playground equipment to the surrounding grounds. Dog walkers appreciate the pet-friendly policy, while occasional appearances by Pete Rush's distinctive driftwood sculptures add artistic flair. The lake's natural aroma may be noticeable, but it's a small trade-off for such peaceful, accessible waterfront recreation.
